DMA Micro-upskilling with startup Great2.
As a startup with a small marketing team, VerveIQ client Great2 signed up for the DMA Micro-upskilling Pilot to access their amazing catalogue of short courses designed to boost marketing skills.
The power of an hour.
We were excited to be involved in another brilliant new initiative from the DMA focused on helping their members boost their marketing skills. With over 200 bitesize courses to choose from, it was a valuable opportunity to offer the Great2 team some practical marketing training.
Part of a cohort of around 150 learners across 16 multinational organisations, charities, SMEs, and agencies took part in trialling micro-upskilling over a 6–10-week period.
You can read about the pilot results on the DMA website.
Why micro-upskilling works.
There are many challenges facing marketing leaders today. Tighter budgets and a tough financial climate. Demanding projects and the need for improved effectiveness. Costly skills gaps, the Great Resignation, and time-poor teams.
Committing to one hour per week of marketing training has the potential for short and longer term benefits. It’s an easy way to introduce continuous learning cultures within their organisation
Here’s a quick summary of some of the learnings from the micro-upskilling pilot cohort:
52% of learners felt more engaged with upskilling due to the pilot
46% developed new skills through that they wouldn't have previously been able to
39% of learners stated they found micro-upskilling better than previous learning experiences
67% believe micro-upskilling has made their company more engaged in skills development
